Max Payne (2008)

I'm always a little skeptical of video games turned into movies, but I will admit to having enjoyed watching Hitman (Excellent) and I enjoyed this because of to reasons, 1 Mark Wahlberg (Rockstar) and 2. Mila Kunis (That 70's Show). I think Mark is an excellent actor and does a terrific job as cold case detective Max Payne, a man trying to figure out who killed his wife and child. He gets a break when murders start to happen and he is being questioned for being near the people. Mila Kunis stars as Mona, a deadly woman who had just lost her sister and her sister happen to have Max Payne's wallet on her when she died. She tracks down Max Payne and decides to help him out. The movie also stars Beau Bridges (Sidekicks) as BB, the head of security at a pharmaceutical company Max Payne's wife used to work at, Donal Logue (Ghost Rider) as Max's former partner, Chris O'Donnell (Batman & Robin) as Jason Colvin, and the attractive Olga Kurylenko (Hitman)as Mila Kunis's sister. Their is some good special effects and some good action but I would have picked someone different than rapper Ludacris to be in this film. Three Stars Out Of Five
