This is the movie that started it all, all those annoying sayings like as if and whatever. It was Alicia Silverstone's shining moment in her career when she stopped being known as the chick in the Aerosmith videos. This movie also semi launched the career of Donald Faison who went on to star on the hit comedy Scrubs, but that's not all! This movie helped launch the career of superstars Paul Rudd (I Love You! Man) and the late Brittany Murphy. It's a movie about a rich girl from Beverly Hills named Cher (Silverstone), who has everything she could ever want. She is a genuine matchmaker and makeover specialist as she takes it upon herself to change Tai (Murphy), a jersey girl who moves to Beverly Hills in desperate need of a makeover. Things start to get personal for Cher as nothing is going her way as Tai starts to gain popularity and decides to go after her step brother Josh (Rudd). Unfortunately, Silverstone never recovered in her career and never really was able to top this movie. Like I had said before, while things were not good for her, they were for Rudd and Murphy.
