Batman (1966)

I woke up new years day to discover that this movie was playing on HBO. So, I watched it and it's amazing to see what they used for special effects then compared to what we use today. The movie stars Adam West (Family Guy) as Batman and Burt Ward (Batman: The Series) as Robin as they try to unfoil the league of the underworld's plan to dehydrate the world leaders. The league of the underworld is led by Burgess Meredith (Rocky) as The Penguin, Cesar Romero (Oceans Eleven) as the Joker, The Beautiful Lee Meriwether (All My Children) as The Catwoman, and Frank Gorshin (12 Monkeys) as the Riddler. It's a fun movie to watch, but I do have to admit that it is corny at times. You have to remember though that this is the Batman you parents grew up to, not Christian Bale. Three stars out of Five
