Gomorrah is an Italian movie about five people whose lives are involved some way shape or form in the mafia. This is an inside look at the modern day Italian Mafia in Scampia, which is a suburb of Naples. The people it follows is Don Ciro (Gianfelice Imparato), who is a very skittish and timid middle man that delivers money to families whose members are in prison. Toto (Salvatore Abruzzese) a young grocery clerk who sees some guys get busted and leave some things behind and Toto returns in exchange for being accepted by one family. Roberto (Carmine Paternoster)is a young adult, who works in the toxic waste management business. His boss dumps toxic waste into quarries and poor Roberto is having second thoughts about whether what he is doing is right. Pasquale (Salvatore Cantalupo)is a designer who secretly decides to help out a Chinese garment company in secret because they are competing with the camorra (Mafia). Finally, we have Marco (Marco Macor) and Ciro (Ciro Petrone), a couple of teenage idiots that think their Scarface and decide they're going to try and rip off the mob. The movie starts off very slowly, but that's only because the story is very important to this movie. The movie starts off right away with some whacking and finishes that way as well. This is definitely not your typical mafia movie that your used to, but it passes. Three and the Half Stars Out of Five
